Collect elements to take communion together.
Though we are separated for a time, we want to continue to press into Jesus through taking communion. Pieces of bread, a small bit of juice. It ultimately doesn't matter what the bits are, what matters is that we seek to partake of the feast of remembering Jesus' blood and body given to us on the cross, to receive grace from Him as Lord over all things we are experiencing in our world, and to long for His return on day.
Read & Meditate.
In times of transition and interruption, we must bank or lives on the Scriptures. Here is a great place to start - Psalm 90:12-15:
"So teach us to number our days
that we may get a heart of wisdom
Return, O Lord! How long?
Have pity on your servants!
Satisfy us in the morning with your steadfast love,
that we may rejoice and be glad all our days.
Make us glad for as many days as you have afflicted us,
and for as many years as we have seen evil."
Pray that New Heights Bentonville will seek first the Kingdom of Christ. Pray that our national leadership will make grace-filled decisions to help as many people as possible who are affected by COVID-19. Pray that Jesus' gospel will swell and rise up within the hearts of His people so that at the name of Jesus, many will bow their bodies to Him as Lord.
